On Friday, March 28th 2025, SingCham Vietnam’s Vice President – Mr. Seck Yee Chung and Honorary Treasurer – Mr. Wesley Chua, presented at the Conference on Investment Funds and Foreign Investment in Vietnam’s New Era of Development in Ho Chi Minh City.
This conference was organized by the Ministry of Finance with speakers coming from the State Securities Commission and the Foreign Investment Agency, and chaired by HE Nguyen Van Thang, Minister of Finance. Together with other foreign business chambers and business leaders of Vietnam, there was constructive feedback and sharing around opportunities and challenges in attracting investment in capital markets and foreign direct investment.
In particular, Mr. Seck Yee Chung and SingCham recognize and appreciate initiatives and improvements made by the Government and the MOF, but also recommend further efforts to improve on timing of approvals, transparency in procedures, further investments into infrastructure, enhancing market access as per Vietnam’s internation treaty commitments, resolving land related issues, and development and training of an increasingly skill workforce
